Private equity firm Maven Capital Partners has expanded its presence in the North West of England with four new offices.
Maven will share Ludlow Wealth Management’s office space in Burnley, Preston, Southport and Liverpool. Maven will keep its North West HQ in Manchester.
Ryan Bevington, partner at Maven, said: “Maven already had an unrivalled regional office network across the UK, and teaming up with Ludlow gives us a far greater regional presence in the Northern Powerhouse region than any other SME-focused equity funder.”
In the new North West locations Maven plans to host investor events for local companies to find out about potential financing.
Last month Maven invested £1m into the Manchester-based fintech platform Nivo Solutions.
“Together, Maven and Ludlow will bring their shared vision and resources to Lancashire, fostering stronger relationships with local businesses and providing a solid foundation for growth,” said Debbie Francis OBE, chair of the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership.
According to Maven, in 2022 it made 119 investments through its funds, which included legal tech startup Summize and video game studio XR Games.
Both Maven and Ludlow Wealth Management are subsidiaries of Mattioli Woods.
The North West is also home to other regionally focused investors such as Praetura Ventures and Northern Gritstone.
