Hollywood actress Megan Fox has become a co-owner of Subs.com, a direct-to-fan content platform co-founded by OnlyFans co-founder Tim Stokely.
The investment comes as Subs.com looks to expand its presence in the creator economy, offering celebrities and public figures greater control over their content, audiences and commercial relationships.
Fox, whose acting credits include Transformers and Jennifer’s Body, has also launched an official page on the platform, allowing subscribers to access exclusive content shared directly by the actress.
Unlike traditional social media platforms, Subs.com is designed to enable established personalities to build direct relationships with their audiences and monetise exclusive content without relying entirely on third-party distribution channels.
Fox’s involvement goes beyond a conventional celebrity endorsement, with the actress taking an ownership stake in the business and participating in its development.
“Women have spent decades being told that visibility is power while someone else owns the platform, the audience or the image,” Fox said. “I’m interested in what happens when women own all three.”
Subs.com was co-founded by Stokely, who previously co-founded OnlyFans, the subscription-based content platform that became one of the most recognisable businesses in the creator economy.
His latest venture is targeting established talent across entertainment, sport and music, offering a platform through which public figures can share exclusive content and experiences with subscribers.
Stokely said Fox’s experience of building a global public profile before the emergence of modern creator platforms would help shape the company’s development.
“Megan understands this shift from a perspective very few people can,” said Stokely.
“She became globally famous before talent had the tools to own their audiences or control their distribution. Megan isn’t simply launching a page on Subs — she has a seat at the table and is helping us build the platform.”
The company said more celebrities are expected to join Subs.com in the coming months as it seeks to grow its user base.
Fox’s ownership stake highlights the growing interest in business models that give creators a financial interest in the platforms they use, rather than relying solely on advertising revenue, sponsorship deals or content subscriptions.
Financial details of Fox’s investment, including the size of her ownership stake and the valuation of Subs.com, were not disclosed.
