Accelerator and angel syndicate Baltic Ventures has invested £300k in a new cohort made up of ten startups from the Liverpool city region.

Backed by a £4.1m grant from the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, Baltic Ventures’ Accelerator 2025 cohort includes digital tech startups covering proptech, healthtech, e-commerce, edtech, fintech and climate tech.

The cohort includes BreezeMove, which is transforming the UK property transaction process by halving average completion times and reducing fall-through rates by over 90%.

There’s also Aposto, which is transforming how large-scale events manage staffing and safety, and Loom, a digital platform using AI to power upcycling in fashion.

The in-person programme will take place in Liverpool and feature masterclass sessions, one-to-one personalised coaching support, investment readiness training and more.

“This year’s application, recruitment and selection process was our most competitive yet and we were particularly impressed with the calibre of businesses and founders from Liverpool City Region, reflecting the ecosystem’s strong and promising trajectory,” says Mo Aldalou, programme director at Baltic Ventures.

“I couldn’t be more excited to welcome our new cohort of ten ambitious founding teams to our annual Accelerator programme, where they will receive the support, tools and connections they need to propel them into their next stage of growth.”

Over the past two years, Baltic Ventures has facilitated £1.1m in investment from 33 angel investors into early-stage technology companies through its syndicates.

The announcement marks Baltic Ventures’ third annual Accelerator programme. The organisation has now supported 60 founding teams through its Accelerator and Launchpad programmes and since Spring 2023, has also delivered or sponsored over 100 workshops, programs and events attended by over 6,000 founders, investors and ecosystem stakeholders.
