Plural, the early-stage investment fund that has backed the likes of Phasecraft and Robin AI, has appointed Alasdair Dickson (pictured) as its new head of investor relations.
The investor was co-launched by a team including Wise co-founder Taavet Hinrikus and senior government AI advisor Ian Hogarth and has become a prominent figure in early-stage European tech rounds.
Now looking to build on its existing partnerships with LPs, Plural has brought on Dickson, who joins the firm from Balderton Capital, where he spent five years in the same role, having ran multiple fundraises and managed relations with global investors.
“European ambition has grown exponentially, leading to breakout successes across a number of industries and inspiring new generations of incredible entrepreneurs, which is increasingly compelling to top-tier global LPs,” said Dickson.
“Part of my role is to ensure that these founders can access the backing they need from bold, enduring investors that think in years, not quarters, and are able to commit with conviction.
“Plural is unlike any other firm in Europe: the team’s company-building experience, vision and intensity reflect the drive with which the portfolio is tackling some of the most globally consequential problems of our time.”
Alongside Dickson’s appointment, Plural has named Christopher Perry as its general counsel. Perry will oversee all legal matters for the firm.
