Instant sales callback widget ResponseiQ secures £850,000

London-based tech startup ResponseiQ, an intelligent instant callback widget, has raised £850,000 in Seed funding.
Fuel.Ventures, Mactaggart & Mickel Investments, and the founders of Trend Investments are among those who have backed the platform, and the money will be used to create new products and expand across Europe and the US.
ResponseiQ’s widget allows customers to request an instant callback, or schedule a later time that suits them. ResponseiQ calls and connects to the businesses’ sales team, in the same way that a website visitor normally would, and supposedly helps businesses connect with the customer in as little as 27 seconds.
Founder Scott Lee, a former investment banker, had the idea for ResponseiQ after being put on hold for more than 20 minutes while calling to get an insurance quote.
He said: “A new report said that 97% of consumers will give more business to companies that respond quickly to them. We’re helping businesses generate higher ROI from their existing marketing spend, by doing just that.”
“The recent investment we’ve received will help ResponseiQ grow internally, which I’m confident will have a knock-on effect and help us reach more businesses,” he added.
ResponseiQ also offers Instant Lead Response, a tool that notifies salespeople instantly, by phone, if a potential business client leaves their telephone number in an online form.
