Hospitality tech platform Tenzo raises £600,000

Tenzo, a data-driven hospitality tech platform, has raised a £600,000 Seed round led by Acequia Capital, Force Over Mass and angel investors Charlie Songhurst, Michael Orland and Getti Restaurants.

The London-based firm is to use the funds to expand internationally, increase its staff count and improve its proprietary technology platform.

Tenzo is a Techstars alumni, having participated in the London 2016 cohort. It helps restaurants save money by analysing a variety of data points. For example, it can help restaurant managers identify their most productive member of staff and gain a better understanding of the most- and least-popular dishes on the menu.

“We’re excited to have investors on board who will provide us not only with capital, but also vast strategic experience in our market,” said Christian Mouysset, co-founder of Tenzo.

“With their deep knowledge in both the hospitality and technology space, we know everyone involved in our Seed round will be a great asset to us, as we continue to scale our business globally,” added Mouysset, who is also co-founder of Hummus Bros.

Tenzo says it has worked with restaurants across 100 locations in the UK and US with current customers including Getti Restaurants, Upham Group, Macellaio RC and Chillango.
