On-demand laundry firm Laundryheap has raised £2m in Angel funding in a round led by Simon Smith and QVentures.

Founded three years ago, Laundryheap is now valued at £17m and is seeking to raise additional funds via a crowdfunding campaign later this year.

Bootstrapped to date, the company says it has seen 300% year-on-year growth and is currently live in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Dublin and Dubai.

Laundryheap said it generated £2m in revenue this year and claims to have made “thousands” of deliveries since inception.

Deyan Dimitrov, the founder and CEO, commented: “As a company we have seen incredible growth off the back of raising the standard of on-demand laundry services. With this investment, we look to become the market leader in Europe within the next 12 months.”

The money will be used to continue international expansion, with plans to launch in four additional European cities before the end of this year.
