London-based event accreditation software provider Accredit Solutions has received a £10m investment from Gresham House Ventures.
Founded in 2017, Accredit Solutions works with event organisers by providing software to assess the security risks of incoming personnel.
Specialising in sports – having worked with the likes of the Premier League, NFL and NBA – Accredit collects security screening documents, processes the data and performs automated background checks for staff at major events.
Now backed by new funding, the firm aims to expand globally, exploring opportunities in further international markets.
“We are hugely impressed by the exceptional client base Accredit Solutions has attracted, which is a testament to the quality of the solution that the business delivers,” said Greg Blin, investment partner at Gresham House Ventures.
“We believe the business is well placed to capitalise on an attractive global market opportunity, especially in a highly interconnected sports and live event industry that relies on word of mouth for solution discovery.”
As part of the investment deal, Gresham House Ventures partner Matt Mead will join the board at Accredit. The growth equity investor has previously backed the likes of MyTutor and Bidnamic.
“There are huge opportunities for Accredit Solutions to build on its existing success in new markets over the coming years, and we look forward to working closely with the Gresham House Ventures team as we continue our growth journey,” added Accredit Solutions CEO Peder Berg.
