Wayra-backed Tank Top TV has announced a partnership with Empire magazine

Empire magazine and Tank Top TV have announced a partnership that will give exclusive Empire subscribers early beta access to Tank Top Movies’ on-demand discovery service.

Tank Top TV, backed by Wayra, is currently in private beta and lists over 12,000 films and shows their availability on ten different legitimate on-demand film services.

Tank Top Movies aggregates services including Netflix and Lovefilm, pay-as-you-go services such as BlinkBox, Film 4OD or Now TV, and free-to-view services such as BBC iPlayer and Classic Cinema Online. The service displays everything currently available in one place, telling them how much it will cost to watch each one.

Commenting on the announcement, made at Digital Shoreditch, James Dyer, editor-in-chief of Empire magazine says: “Though our readers are passionate about going to the cinema, they watch films at home and now increasingly through video on demand services. With so many options out there, understanding what’s streaming where is a minefield for users. Happily, it’s one that our partnership with Tank Top Movies will seamlessly guide them through.”

Empire will start distributing Tank Top Movies invitation codes to its subscribers later this week.

“We’re thrilled to invite Empire‘s audience of enthusiastic film fans to join the Tank Top Movies Beta,” adds Liz Rice, co-founder of Tank Top TV. “Their feedback will be invaluable to making Tank Top Movies an even better experience for finding on-demand movies to watch.”

Tank Top TV joined Wayra in April this year.
