Up to 100 of the most innovative and forward-thinking startups that the tech scene has to offer are set to battle it out at this month’s ICONS Festival for a chance to join the prestigious 500 Startups accelerator programme.
The pitch competition is part of the four day tech, music and screen festival which will be held at the Titanic Exhibition Centre in Belfast between 24 ‐ 27 September.
Finalists will pitch live on Friday September 25, with the winner getting the chance to go forward for final interview to join 500 Startups, which is based in Google’s Mountain View HQ in Silicon Valley.
The judging panel includes 500 Startups associate partner Marvin Liao and a number of high profile VCs, investors and mentors.
ICONS CEO Aaron Taylor said: “ICONS has attracted some of the world’s best and brightest startup companies, with a particularly strong showing in areas such as fintech, biotech, digital, software and robotics.
“It’s great to see such an eclectic mix of startup companies and we’re extremely excited by the calibre of applicants coming forward.”
Attending ICONS Festival will be the very best of startups from a range of areas including robotics, fintech, wearables and SaaS.
