London-based crowdfunding platform Seedrs has been chosen as the fundraising partner for a £20m startup programme being delivered by the Welsh government, backed by the European Regional Development Fund.
The Welsh government’s Accelerated Growth Programme will see up to 1,000 export-focused, high-growth companies supported for three years to take their ideas global.
The programme of training and mentoring, including help from Seedrs to raise funds, is being led by Newport’s Impact Innovation, along with KPMG, Santander, HSBC and IP Group.
Jeff Lynn, CEO and cofounder of Seedrs says: “It is a great honour for Seedrs to have been selected as a partner in the Welsh government’s Accelerated Growth Programme. We are particularly pleased to be working together with Impact Innovation, which is an experienced, highly professional organisation with a strong track record of supporting the Welsh growth business community.
“We are delighted to partner with them to support the ambitions of Welsh growth focused businesses.”
