SaaS integration platform Tray.io lands $5m in Series A funding

Tray.io, a SaaS integration platform, has closed a $5m Series A round led by Mosaic Ventures.
Existing investor True Ventures also participated in the round.
The London-founded startup, which is based in both Shoreditch and San Francisco, provides a cloud-based platform to connect and share data between software services.
Rich Waldron, CEO and co-founder of tray.io, commented: “Being able to utilise the data that’s trapped within siloed SaaS products is a company’s number one priority in order to maintain growth. Until now this wasn’t possible without costly integrations that involved the hassle of writing code, scaling and maintaining servers and handling changes in third party API’s.
“We’ve built an intelligence layer that can be used across an entire company so that previously unattainable workflows between tools can now be unlocked by anyone, in any team or department,” he explained.
Claiming to process over 1 billion tasks per month through its workflow cloud, Tray.io works with companies such as Snapchat, Expensify, Vox and Digital Ocean.
The firm plans to use the new funding to develop its technology, grow its team and open a HQ in San Francisco.
Mike Chalfen, co-founder and partner at Mosaic Ventures, commented: “Instead of silos of data in their SaaS services, businesses will be more agile and smarter, without having to spend developer resource. As early adopters ourselves we’re delighted to be partnering with Tray.io’s tenacious and brilliant founding team.”
