Tech City-based internet provider Optimity has signed up to help deliver the GLA’s SuperConnected Cities plan.
The company has become a registered supplier to the Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK) Connectivity Voucher Scheme, which makes funding available to SMEs to improve their internet connectivity.
Home grown
Optimity is a provider of ultra-fast fibre and wireless network connectivity for London’s small and medium sized enterprises, based in Shoreditch.
They join over 50 companies acting as providers of the scheme in London.
Digital infrastructure
As part of the UK government’s SuperConnected Cities Plan, the Greater London Authority secured £25 million worth of funding from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
The money is to go towards improving London’s digital infrastructure, foster economic growth and maintain London’s position as a leading hub for enterprise.
