TECH STARTUP TO MOVIE PRODUCER
Moshi Monsters, created by London-based Mind Candy has announced its first feature film.
Based on the hugely popular childrens social networking franchise, the movie is set to be released on December 20th across the UK.
The project is in conjunction with Cornwall-based animation studio, Spider Eye.
Universal Picture Home Entertainment have been appointed as the official distribution partners for the movie.
Speaking about the release, Michael Acton Smith, CEO and creator of Moshi Monsters said he was excited for the project to hit the big screens.
GLOBAL FRANCHISE
Moshi Monsters is an online kids game that has received over 80 million users worldwide.
It also spans into toys,books, video games, trading cards and membership cards.
It was set up in Silicon Roundabout and has recently celebrated its 5th birthday.
They now employ over 200 people in a franchise worth over $250 million.
