Just Park, What3Words and Taxo’d are among the 32 semi-finalists in Richard Branson’s Virgin Media Business Pitch to Rich competition which will see them competing for the chance to win a share of a £1m prize.
Other tech startups that have made the cut, from 2,500 pitches submitted, include: The App Developers, the MyRep civic engagement platform, adtech startup Kino-Mo, AppyParking and social discount platform DiscountIF.
Finalists in the ‘Grow’ category, JustPark and What3Words are in line to get £250,000 of marketing support for their company. Taxo’d, making the ‘Startup’ list, could receive £150,000 marketing support plus a year of mentoring from Virgin StartUp’s professional business advisers.
The public vote, which has already seen some 550,000 votes cast, has now reopened until 16 June, ahead of the grand finale pitch day in front of Richard Branson on 26 June.
