Elevator Pitch LIVE Awards 2016: The winners!

We’re delighted to announce the winners of this year’s Elevator Pitch LIVE competition.

Awards were presented last night at a ceremony with the shortlisted companies, our sponsors and the Tech City News team.

Over 200 startups applied, and the competition was tough, but after much deliberation the winners from each category are as follows:

Best in AdTech/MarTech: Growth Intel

Growth Intel is a B2B product which uses data science to reveal who’s most likely to buy from your company, and took first prize for its innovative offering.

Best in FinTech: Divido

The startup, which raised £2.5m back in September, enables customers to spread the cost of any purchase while the retailer gets paid in full straight away.

Best in HealthTech: Echo

The firm, which also recently raised a £1.8m Seed round, impressed the judges with its medication management app and top pitch delivery.

Best in PropTech: Trussle

Trussle, an online mortgage broker, won over the judges with its platform which simplifies the notoriously complex mortgage process.

Best in Cybersecurity: Intruder

Promising to find a firm’s weaknesses before the hackers do, Intruder took the award for its reliable continuous security monitoring platform.

People’s Choice: Offer Moments

Winning over the crowd was Offer Moments, with its billboards which show you personalised deals and offers as you walk towards them.

Best Pitch Award: Trussle

Not only are they the best in PropTech, but, despite the pressurising time limit, Trussle also prepared a great pitch!

Standout Success Award: Echo

As well as being crowned the best in HealthTech, Echo will be embarking on a trip to San Francisco next year to take part in a three-day business course!

Courtesy of UC Berkeley Executive Education, the team will also be invited to a dinner with a handpicked group of select Silicon Valley VCs.
