This week saw a huge investment for cyber security company Digital Shadows who raised $8m in a new funding round, breaking the news during Boris Johnson’s US mission.
But this wasn’t the only good news for Boris, as new figures revealed record-breaking investments from the US into London’s tech startups, bagging $800m in 2014 alone.
It’s a fintech theme this week as Finnovate Europe launched with thousands turning up for the conference and money transfer giant Transferwise achieved a whopping $1bn valuation.
And it was also the week that Government finally said yes to driverless cars, putting £19m into new trials that will take place across the UK. All this and more in your Week in Tech!
