Cheshire-based MPP Global has raised £12m in Series B funding from investors including Albion Ventures and Grafton Capital.
Headquartered in Warrington, MPP Global delivers digital monetisation services to well-known media companies such as Sky, News UK and the Daily Mail Group.
The investment, a statement said, will allow MPP Global to expand into new markets and continue the development of its eSuite platform.
Paul Johnson, MPP Global’s CEO and co-founder, said: “We are incredibly excited to be embarking on the next chapter of MPP Global’s evolution, embracing new markets and launching a stream of new eSuite features.”
Alongside the investment news, MPP Global announced that Keith Wallington, former COO of email security firm Mimecast, would be joining the company as chairman.
“We welcome Keith to the team as we look forward to raising international awareness of our leading eSuite platform in the United States and Asia Pacific region,” Johnson added.
Ed Lascelles, partner at Albion Ventures, also commented on his decision to back the company: “This is a compelling opportunity for Albion to invest in a market-leading, high growth and profitable SaaS business run by an entrepreneurial and motivated team.
“We see the market for paid OTT content growing rapidly over the medium term and MPP Global is well placed to consolidate its position as the category leader,” he concluded.
