Calendar API service Cronofy has closed a $1.6m seed round led by Firestartr alongisde henQ, an Amsterdam-based venture capital firm.
The startup, which is based in Nottingham and London, will use the funds to expand its teams in both cities.

Cronofy, which boasts Skyscanner as one of its clients, provides a unified calendar API to enable app developers to integrate their apps and services with Google, Apple, Exchange and various other calendar services.

Synchronising schedules has become critical for many millions more people, driven by smart phones, the gig economy and crazy calendars,” said Richard Muirhead, co-founder & chairman of Firestartr.
