Which role was the most important early hire you made?
Someone who could take ownership of getting customers live and keeping them happy. In SaaS, especially payroll, implementation is where trust is built or destroyed. If onboarding is rough, no one forgives you – payroll errors affect people’s lives.
We needed someone who was technically capable but also genuinely cared about the outcome for the customer. That combination is rarer than you’d think....
