London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) has launched a multi-year partnership with Dell Technologies to build a new private cloud platform.
Dell has been selected by the group behind the London public markets to optimise its existing on premises infrastructure as well as create a new platform to strengthen resilience and performance across a number of LSEG’s data and analytics and markets platforms that operate outside of its public cloud environments.
“LSEG plays a crucial role powering the world’s financial markets through our trusted data and market infrastructure,” said Irfan Hussain, chief information officer at LSEG.
“Optimising our on-premises and public cloud estate is vital in ensuring we continue to serve our customers with best-in-class services.
“Working with Dell Technologies enhances the flexibility and resilience of our systems, enabling us to continue delivering high-performance services for the financial markets.”
Dell will support LSEG in the design and build of the platform, integrating Dell servers, storage and automation software.
“The financial services sector demands infrastructure that maintains continuous availability while meeting strict security and regulatory requirements,” said Doug Schmitt, chief information officer and president of Dell Technologies Services.
“Our integrated infrastructure and automation capabilities give LSEG the operational resilience and flexibility to run their most demanding workloads while maintaining full control of their environment.”
