Revalue Nature, a startup aiming to support carbon offset project development, has raised $10m (£7.9m) in a Series A round.
Founded in 2022, Revalue Nature works with carbon offset projects, giving them access to a suite of tools designed to improve operational efficiency.
These tools include a landscape scanner that analyses the space that a project is working with. The scanner, which the company says takes just minutes to run, examines forest cover, deforestation rates, emission calculations and population statistics to give a greater overview for developers.
The London-based startup has also built a map system, called the ATLAS platform, which the company says gives developers a greater depth of data insights than traditional mapping.
“Revalue exists to deliver a fundamental step-change in integrity at scale. This drives us every day,” said Stuart Rowland, founder and CEO of Revalue Nature.
“This growth financing accelerates our journey to supercharge the world’s leading nature-based developers, reset the bar for quality in the carbon market, and protect and regenerate nature at a scale that makes our eyes water.”
A company spokesperson told UKTN that it is “competing with the traditional developers in the space” and that it recently partnered with Carbon Tanzania, a social enterprise.
The equity funding round was co-led by the Ecosystem Integrity Fund (EIF) and SJF Ventures, both of which are climate and impact focussed VC firms.

Revalue Nature plans to use the new funding to further grow its list of international partnerships and further develop its suite of tools. It has approximately 35 employees.
