UKTN Podcast: Rebuilding Tech Nation and the UK’s AI opportunity – Founders Forum CEO Carolyn Dawson

UKTN Podcast Founders Forum

Back in April, Founders Forum Group announced that it had acquired Tech Nation. Now, work is underway at Founders Forum to rebuild and relaunch the shuttered entrepreneur network. In the latest episode of the UKTN Podcast, Founders Forum Group CEO Carolyn Dawson teases some of those plans, which are expected to be fully unveiled later this year.

Elsewhere on the show, Dawson and UKTN Podcast host Jane Wakefield discuss why the UK is well-positioned to be a leader in generative AI and deeptech, and unpack some of the challenges facing the country’s tech sector.

Dawson, who was awarded an OBE for her services to London Tech Week, also explains how it has “been a long time coming” for UK pension fund reforms that will unlock more capital for tech scaleups.

Launched in 2005, Founders Forum Group is an entrepreneur community that hosts networking events and provides advice to startups. As chief executive, Dawson oversees all of Founders Forum’s events and businesses. Prior to Founders Forum, Dawson was president at Informa Tech.
