On-demand laundry and dry cleaning app Laundrapp has landed £5m in funding from undisclosed investors, bringing it’s total investment to £10m.
Founded by Edward Relf and launched in London 18 months ago, the company now claims to be available in more than 100 different towns and cities across the UK.
Although he declined to divulge any specifics about the funding round, Relf said: “It’s an exciting time for Laundrapp. The rate of growth has been tremendous and, despite uncertainties about the general economic climate, our business has never been more popular.”
The firm said it will use the new funding to continue expanding across the UK and to launch its services internationally.
The news of the fundraise comes after Laundrapp acquired its rival Washbox – which launched in 2014 as part of Ignite’s startup accelerator – in July last year.
