Lee Evans - SurveyMe

Cheshire-based mobile survey app developer SurveyMe has closed a £2m equity funding round.

The money was raised via Deepbridge Capital’s Technology Growth EIS proposition.

According to a statement, the funding will allow SurveyMe to open an office in California – a move the company said will put it in good stead to target the US market.

Lee Evans, founder and CEO, commented on the company’s performance over the past 12 months:

“This has been a terrific year, which has seen SurveyMe continue to expand globally … We look forward to continuing our highly professional partnership with Deepbridge Capital as we accelerate our growth through a million users and 1,000 cinema locations later this year.”

The app, which allows firms to capture bespoke, real-time mobile consumer and employee feedback is allegedly used in more than 250 cinemas across 29 different US states as well as by a wide range of businesses in 159 countries.

Ian Warwick, managing partner at Deepbridge Capital, added: “The app itself is unique in the market place and the team at SurveyMe has delivered on key objectives. Specialising in providing exciting investment opportunities to private investors, it is important that we work with innovative companies that have the potential for global scalability.

“SurveyMe continues to drive innovation in its sector and we remain confident of being able to deliver real returns for our investors,” Warwick concluded.
