EVIOS, a startup developing home charging solutions for electric vehicles, has raised £4m for its Series A round.

Founded in 2022, EVIOS aims to make the adoption of EVs simpler for UK consumers by providing at-home charging options.

EVIOS’s home charging system comes with features such as solar integration and cost-based charging.

“The EV market is growing rapidly, and we see significant commercial opportunities over the next decade,” said David Martell, founder and CEO of EVIOS.

“The products we have developed are at the premium end of the market, and we are excited about continuing to offer a complete high-level product and service offering for the discerning EV customer as the market grows over the coming years.”

The investment was led by Beringea, which backed Martell’s previous EV charging infrastructure company Chargemaster, later acquired by BP.

In October 2022, EVIOS acquired home charge point provider Andersen EV, which provides charging tech to Porsche and Jaguar Land Rover.

The funding boost for EVIOS will in part go to scaling the Andersen EV brand to increase manufacturing capacity and develop new products.
