Innovate UK’s latest Women in Innovation cohort represents its largest ever, with 100 women recognised for promising high-impact tech businesses.
The programme aims to recognise women founders from across the UK who are developing high-potential innovative technology.
All of the 100 women being recognised will receive 12 months of tailored business support, while 61 of them will also receive a £75,000 grant as well.
Among the innovations being recognised is wearable tech to detect dehydration risk among older adults from Ellyfe, a carbon-negative alternative to plastic foam packaging from Carbon Cell and an AI system to cut MRI scan times by up to 90% from GenScan AI.

“Whether an award winner or highly commended applicant, each member of this cohort is working towards delivering significant economic and social impact for the nation through innovation.
“We are proud to support these inspiring founders as they navigate the critical growth stages ahead and to create pathways for more women-led businesses to become industry giants of the future.”
The latest cohort marks the 10th anniversary of the programme which, according to Nott, has seen “record levels of engagement” this year.
