The UK government has announced plans to work with edtechs, AI labs and schools to develop new tools that could radically shift student education.
Tech firms have been invited to participate in a government-led initiative to create AI systems that can support the learning of children, with the initial pilot intended to support up to 450,000 disadvantaged pupils a year.
In an exclusive interview with UKTN, Minister for Digital Government Ian Murray described how the plans represent the “R&D approach” this government is taking to improve public services with new technologies.
