A hotel in the City of London is set to deploy an automated concierge as part of a partnership with AI group Inntelo.
The Gate London City will become the first hotel in capital to deploy Inntelo’s agentic AI solution.
The AI concierge can connect requests from customers to services and offer personalised support. It can be used to request amenities, book restaurant tables and local and excursions and can be accessed via WhatsApp.
Though it will be deploying this agentic system, the hotel has said its aim is to empower its staff, rather than replace it.
“Working with Inntelo has demystified AI for us. Getting hands-on with the tools made us realise there are real opportunities here to improve the guest experience and improve productivity, while also freeing up our team to spend more time with guests on a face-to-face, human level,” said Keerthy Sachavi, general manager at The Gate London City.
“It’s been a win-win, and we’re all learning firsthand how to use AI in a way that’s specific to our industry.”
Asif Alidina, Founder and CEO of Inntelo AI, said: “Hospitality will always be a human business. Hotels and their guests don’t want full automation.
“What they want is AI that removes the friction for everyone. When it’s done well, it makes life easier for guests, easier for teams, and stronger for the business as a whole. That’s the balance we’re building towards: technology that quietly handles the busywork so that people are free to do what only people can do.”
