London-based AI coaching app Bloom is launching in the UK and US after raising a $10m (£8m) seed investment.
Founded last year, the Bloom app merges insights of “industry leaders”, behavioural science, AI, psychometrics and check-ins to provide a personalised coaching experience.
Bloom says it has achieved more than “10,000 coaching moments” and is used by businesses including Manchester-based ecommerce company THG.
“Career growth is broken, professional development isn’t high enough on the agenda, and career coaching is elitist,” said Alistair Crane, CEO of Bloom.
“That’s why we’re revolutionising the coaching industry to provide coaching at scale, helping everybody, not just the few, to advance.”
Bloom said it expects to add 100,000 new customers to its coaching app next year.
MMC Ventures and Octopus Ventures are among the investors in the seed round.
Konrad Hill, chief people officer at THG, said “The research is clear that a happy workforce that feels supported in their professional goals helps build the most successful companies, and we’re happy to be able to include professional coaching as part of our offering thanks to Bloom.”
