In this week’s Founder in Five Q&A, Rathee discusses making sure you have a diverse core team, the benefits of supportive confidants and building tech for good companies.

What advice would you give to a first-time founder?  

Manjul Rathee: There are a few things I wish I’d known when I started out. My first piece of advice is to always keep your summit in sight. Progress is rarely rapid so it’s important to keep reminding yourself that even a small win is pushing you in the right direction. I would also encourage founders to find their confidantes. No one tells founders that they are doing a good job so it’s important to find people you trust who you can go to for reassurance and to share your vulnerabilities. Finally, I’ve learned that it’s important to know your weaknesses and build a team with different strengths so you can stand strong as a whole....
