The use of AI chatbots for all manner of purposes has more or less become the norm just a few short years after the majority of the world was introduced to the technology.

But while it is no longer novel for people to use services like ChatGPT and Gemini daily, debates continue as to the sensitivity of data that it is appropriate to feed into them.

With AI assistants becoming a core part of people’s lives, it is understandable that many would use them in a personal health capacity, particularly as GP appointments have become so difficult to secure.

Large numbers of users have already been asking popular chatbots for medical advice, so it was only a matter of time before developers would capitalise on this use case with official products....
