Powered Now secures £350,000 in second Crowdcube round

Devon-based app for tradespeople Powered Now has hit its £350,000 funding target on Crowdcube, having raised almost £600,000 on the platform one year ago.

The campaign saw 167 investors putting in as little as £10, and reaching up to £50,000, with an average of £2,100 invested.

The startup was giving away 11% equity in its business and will overfund this latest round until mid-September, offering a corresponding increase in equity.

Benjamin Dyer, cofounder and CEO of Powered Now, said: “Having raised nearly £600,000 a year ago, we are delighted that existing stakeholders are keen to put money in a second time and they are joined by 80% of new investors.”

The company, which offers a full toolkit from appointment booking to payments, says its app has been downloaded by 30,000 trade companies and more than 10% of its paying customers are now located in the US.

Its subscription based pricing model starts at £4.16 per month for a single trader and reaches £69.99 for up to six people to use the platform together.
