UK-India £1B trade deal: These 10 tech companies to create more than 4,500 jobs in Britain

In a recent development, Britain and India have announced new commercial trade and investment deals to create over 6,500 jobs in the UK. The UK-India trade and investment was announced by the UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, on Tuesday.

The investment deal is worth over £533 million that will be pumped in by Indian companies into the UK to create thousands of jobs in the growing sectors, including health and technology. Of this, £200 million will be deployed to support low carbon growth.

Furthermore, the partnership that has been agreed will set the ambition to double the value of UK-India trade by 2030.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson said: “Like every aspect of the UK-India relationship, the economic links between our countries make our people stronger and safer. Each and every one of the more than 6,500 jobs we have announced today will help families and communities build back from coronavirus and boost the British and Indian economies.”

Infosys creates 1,000 digital jobs

Infosys is an Indian multinational information technology company providing business consulting, information technology and outsourcing services. The company announced that it is all set to create 1,000 digital jobs in the UK to fuel its growth post the pandemic crisis. The new hires will work across cloud computing, data and analytics, open-source technologies, artificial intelligence, and enterprise services.

HCL Technologies creates 1,000 jobs in the UK

HCL Technologies is also focusing on creating 1,000 jobs in the UK.
