London tech startup Adzuna partners with Appcast

As organisations hire workers to combat the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Adzuna has today announced its partnership with Programmatic recruitment agency Appcast to deliver the industry’s first Recruitment Advertising Grant Program.

The initial launch was worth £80,000 and continues to grow with the involvement of industry leaders and recruitment companies around the globe.

As of April 3, 2020, the program had raised £300,000 and awarded 26 grants.

The program is open to organisations in the U.S. and Canada that are hiring workers to treat patients and slow the spread of COVID-19, with grants potentially available to U.K companies in the future.

Grants are being awarded to organisations including healthcare systems, retirement communities, facilities management companies, pharmaceutical research and development firms and other health services companies.

Andrew Hunter, Co-Founder of Adzuna said, “I’ve been amazed by the recruitment technology community’s generosity, camaraderie and determination to stave alive and thrive during this crisis. This fund is hugely important – it allows hiring companies to quickly and efficiently connect with potential staff free of charge.”

Chris Forman, CEO of Appcast, shared, “Given the nature of the pandemic, the situation is changing rapidly, as are the hiring needs of front-line organisations.

“Appcast is eager to contribute how and where we can and grateful to our job site partners for mobilising around this cause.”
