12 entrepreneurs took a taxi ride unlike any other this week as the final round of the Elevator Pitch took place.
Founders were swept away in a Hailo cab and had thirty seconds to pitch their business.
The ideas and businesses pitched ranged from wifi-enabled headphones to health data apps with the potential to vastly improve medical support.
The passengers had to maintain composure as the cab cruised around curvy London streets and all managed to fight the travel sickness knocking on the door.
New startup every Tuesday
A new post profiling each startup will be posted on Tech City News every Tuesday with a video of the pitch. Keep an eye out for the first post next week on Tuesday 23rd September.
It was the final round of the fourth series of Tech City News’ flagship competition, which saw over 100 UK startups apply.
In previous series, entrepreneurs have found themselves pitching on the back of a speedboat and at the top of a Canary Wharf building.
The 12 winning startups were:
- Audiowings
- Check Business
- GENEIX
- Housekeep
- Knodium
- MatchPint
- Responsive Sports
- Shopwave
- Karisma Kidz
- Compare and Share
- i-workout
- SimpleTax
The fourth series of the Elevator Pitch is sponsored by JLL, Fried Frank, and KPMG.
