eggPlant range of products can be accessed via UK Government procurement framework.
TestPlant, the maker of the eggPlant range of software quality tools, today announced its products are now accessible via G-Cloud, the UK Government’s Digital Marketplace. Through this agreement, eggPlant tools can be used by organisations across the UK public sector including central government, local government, health, education, devolved administrations, emergency services, defence and not-for-profit organisations.
G-Cloud is a centralised procurement framework that allows public sector agencies to gain access to suppliers and services across all types of cloud service models, including public, private and hybrid via the G-Cloud Digital Marketplace. It provides public sector organisations a legally compliant framework for procurement of IT services and solutions that is both simple and transparent. As of June 2016, more than £1.3 billion in contracts has been procured through the G-Cloud framework.
TestPlant’s eggPlant product range provides a suite of easy-to-use software test automation tools that help organisations deliver high quality enterprise and mobile applications quickly and consistently in Agile and DevOps environments. eggPlant’s patented, image-based approach to functional testing allows its public sector customers to test their applications non-intrusively and from a true user perspective, and its powerful performance testing and network emulation products allow developers to easily test applications under a range of conditions.
“The public sector is increasingly undertaking highly complex digital transformation initiatives, and software quality plays a vital role in ensuring that these initiatives are a success, so we are delighted that the eggPlant tools are now available on G-Cloud,” said Antony Edwards, CTO, TestPlant. “The eggPlant range combines powerful testing features with unparalleled ease-of-use, making it a compelling option for public sector IT departments.”
